As part of the launch of Greenlight Media and Marketing’s “Evolution of an Artist” digital content series, critically acclaimed musician and Washington native Allen Stone will perform five hometown shows in Seattle, WA April 13-18, 2015.
The unique “Evolution of an Artist” series will recreate Allen’s rise as a live performer in Seattle’s music scene. Starting with one of the first venues Allen ever played back in 2008, the (300 capacity) Triple Door on April 13th, to headlining the majestic Paramount Theatre on April 18th (2,807 capacity). Other venues he will play during the week include Nectar Lounge (4/14),
The Crocodile (4/16), and Neumos (4/17). All shows will feature up and coming local Seattle bands as support.
Allen recalls, “When I moved from Chewelah WA to Seattle WA I was terrified. I was a tiny fish in a gigantic pond, a pond with an extremely rich history of powerful music. However, what I found was a very supportive community of music lovers and players that put me on their back and helped make my dream a reality. I am most comfortable performing my songs in Seattle so revealing my new songs and recounting the evolution of my musical experience there is going to be mad fun!”
“We’ve been promoting shows with Allen from the beginning,” says Ryan Cook from Seattle Theatre Group. “To be able to recreate Allen’s growth as an artist during an entire week is something we’ve never done before. We couldn’t be more proud to help Seattle celebrate Allen’s success.”
During this six-night stand, Allen and his band will play both old favorites and new tunes from his forthcoming Capitol Records debut, Radius. Seattle’s rich musical heritage that includes everybody from Jimi Hendrix to Pearl Jam to Macklemore and Ryan Lewis serves as an enlightening backdrop for Allen’s ‘Evolution of an Artist’ week. With his knack for musical innovation and incendiary performance style, Allen maintains his musical roots while simultaneously forging a path of his own and continues to take soul down a new avenue.
Currently, Allen is in the studio putting the finishing touches on Radius with producers Benny Cassette, Malay, and Swedish musician Magnus Tingsek. They have already recorded on two continents with sessions in Malmö, Sweden and Allen’s cabin studio in Chewelah, WA. The first single is expected to be released in the coming weeks.
“The ‘Evolution of an Artist’ program is a reflection of an artist’s journey to success,” said Dominic Sandifer, president of GreenLight Media & Marketing. “Everyone, whether an artist or not, began their careers somewhere – and this series encourages the fans and artists to retrace their footsteps while moving on towards the next chapter. Allen is the perfect representation of the series.”
Other partners in the program include Pogoseat, an enterprise solution for sports teams and concert venues that enables their fans to upgrade seats and purchase unique VIP upgrades during events.
