For Seattle based singer/songwriter Sarah Gerritsen, this album is a long time coming. The album was recorded mostly live in Fremont at Studio Litho (Stone Gossard’s beloved space) with famed producer/engineer Floyd Reitsma. They have endearingly captured the emotions of subjects ranging from the stories of some of Seattle’s founding Native Americans, to the loss of a loved one and the hope that lies ahead.  The songs are woven together effortlessly in three part harmony, beckoning the most stoic of listeners to melt into the room almost immediately. 
Falling on the heels of her widely beloved debut EP “Origin,” Sarah has pulled together some of the city’s most talented musicians to form “The Shadow Catchers”. The significance of the name derives from Seattle’s legendary photographer Edward Curtis, whose work in capturing the Native tribes of the northwest and the country solidified him in history. Named “The Shadow Catcher” for his ability to capture the legacy and essence of a person with his camera… Sarah Gerritsen and the Shadow Catchers have done precisely this with their music.
