Soy Cuba is an expansive revue of popular Cuban music and dance from the danzón of the late 1800s to modern timba. Featuring living legends Roberto Borrell and Calixto Oviedo, as well as Seattle-area luminaries Kiki Valera, José Carrión, Pedro Vargas, Maiensy Sanchez, Reinier Valdes, Julio Jáuregui, Carlos Cascante, Elspeth Savani and directed by Alfredo Polier. A unique experience of Cubanismo – its joys and trials - as expressed through the music and movement of Cubans far from home.
