Caitlin Sherman and Brent Amaker have individually been charting separate music careers for over a decade.  Caitlin Sherman, most recently, can be recognized for her debut solo release (Death to the Damsel) which dropped on February 14th, 2020.  Having no idea what the future would hold, Caitlin gave up most of her belongings, and headed to Austin, Texas for her first official SXSW showcase to support her release.  A worldwide pandemic would stop her in her tracks, and half way through the tour, she was forced to return to Seattle.  After spending her entire adult life focused on a career in music, she was left to contemplate what would be next.  Live music events were no longer possible.

Brent Amaker is best known for his cinematic cowboy outfit, Brent Amaker and the Rodeo.  With several songs placed in television shows (Big Little Lies, Sharp Objects, Weeds, etc.) he had already developed a worldwide cult following. Caitlin and Brent were left with unexpected time on their hands, and their previous friendship as Seattle musicians developed into a full blown collaboration.

Inspired by 1960’s French pop, and other duos like Lee Hazelwood and Nancy Sinatra, the collaboration would represent a new direction for the two friends. The result is a lush and sometimes dark representation of love during a pandemic.

Supported by a full band including some of Seattle’s best musicians, their live show is not to be missed.  Brent is known for his performance art productions, and Caitlin, her musical prowess.  The two of them combined have created something truly special.
