This stop on the Summertime Tour features Henry’ and special guests, the legendary harmonica virtuoso Lee Oskar, known for his iconic harmonica sound on hits like Low Rider and Why Can’t We Be Friends. In 2025, Lee Oskar was honored as an original member of WAR when the band received a star on the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame… and Kealoha, Hawai‘i’s first Poet Laureate, celebrated slam poet — and FUN FACT, a graduate of MIT in Nuclear Physics.
Experience a night of musical magic, powerful storytelling, and the spirit of aloha — all in one unforgettable show.
The Boys in the Band, Alx Kawakami (guitar & vocals), Will Tafolo (bass), and Wendell Ching (drums) round out the all-star lineup, delivering the energy and musical chemistry that make every performance unforgettable.
Presented by Outrigger Resorts & Hotels, the Summertime Tour is a featured spotlight of the Henry Kapono Foundation’s SummerFest Concert Series.

About Henry Kapono :
Native Hawaiian Henry Kapono is a GRAMMY nominated and multi-award-winning singer-songwriter known for his soulful voice and captivating performances. Rising to fame in the '70s as one half of the iconic duo Cecilio & Kapono (C&K), Kapono continues to inspire sold-out audiences worldwide. Heading Kapono Inc., a premier entertainment company, he remains a leading figure in Hawai'i's music scene, releasing new music and playing to loyal fans across the globe. With a career spanning decade, he has expanded his roles to include film producer, music director, and community leader. In 2018, he established The Henry Kapono Foundation to support Hawaiʻi's music industry through programs, grants, education, and resources.
About Lee Oskar :
Lee Oskar is an internationally acclaimed harmonica virtuoso, composer, producer, manufacturer, visual artist, and lifelong musical explorer. Oskar performs in the USA and the world with outstanding musicians from the Pacific Northwest, known as Lee Oskar & Friends, featuring well-loved hits, new arrangements of his own compositions, and exciting newer material. Artistically, Oskar has earned critical and popular acclaim for four decades with his wide-ranging portfolio of unforgettable compositions evoking different moods, rhythms and genres. In the words of critic Misha Berson, “The harmonica man can really blow, but he can croon, too.” Lee Oskar has earned ASCAP writing awards and had his signature sound celebrated in Pitbull and Kesha's hit, "Timber," which was inspired by Oskar's harmonica contributions in the song, "San Francisco Bay."

Kealoha – Hawaiʻi's first Poet Laureate Emeritus, Kealoha is an internationally acclaimed poet and storyteller who has performed everywhere from the White House to ʻIolani Palace, and from Brazil to Switzerland. Kealoha is the first poet in Hawaiʻi's history to perform at a governor's inauguration and has been honored as a master artist by the National Endowment for the Arts and as a Fellow by the American Academy of Poets. He delivered the keynote address at MIT’s special 2022 commencement and has been featured on HBO’s Brave New Voices, NBC, PBS, NPR, the Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards, and more.
